ABSTRACT

L-theanine has been shown to have a therapeutic effect on depression. However, whether L-theanine has an excellent preventive effect on depression in children and adolescents and what its mechanism is have not been well explained.Given the complexity of the pathogenesis of depression, this study investigated the preventive effect and mechanism of L-theanine on depression in juvenile rats by combining serum and hippocampal metabolomic strategies.Behavioral tests, hippocampal tissue sections, and serum and hippocampal biochemical indexes were studied, and the results confirmed the preventive effect of L-theanine.Untargeted reversed-phase liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spec-trometry and targeted hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spec-trometry were developed to analyze the metabolism changes in the serum and hippocampus to screen for potential biomarkers related to L-theanine treatment. The results suggested that 28 abnormal me-tabolites in the serum and hippocampus that were considered as potential biomarkers returned to near-normal levels after L-theanine administration. These biomarkers were involved in various metabolic pathways, mainly including amino acid metabolism and lipid metabolism. The levels of amino acids and neurotransmitters in the phenylalanine, tryptophan, and glutamic acid pathways were significantly reduced after L-theanine administration compared with chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced rats.In summary,L-theanine had a significant preventive effect on depression and achieved its preventive results on depression by regulating various aspects of the body, such as amino acids, lipids, and inflammation. This research systematically analyzed the mechanism of L-theanine in preventing depression and laid the foundation for applying L-theanine to prevent depression in children and adolescents.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of child pneumonia mycoplasma infection to provide a forceful basis for its clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods A total of 6 823 children outpatients and inpatients with pneumonia in this hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were performed the serum Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody detection by using the passive agglutination method. Results (1) Among 6 823 children cases,Mycoplasma pneumonia antibody positive detection was in 1 843 cases, the positive rate was 27,01 %,among them, the infection rate of female was higher than that of male (32.68% vs.23.21%,P<0.01).(2) Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody detection rates in <1 year old,1-<3 years old,3-<6 years old,6-14 years old were 5.41%,28.01%,40.34% and 43.81% respectively (P<0.01),the total detection rate in ≥ 3 years old group was higher than that in <3 years old group (P<0.01).Conclusion Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection rate is higher among children with respiratory tract infection, the incidence rate in school-age children is lower. The autumnand winter seasons are prevalent.

ABSTRACT

Objective To synthesize and identify artificial antigens of lung elastin degradation peptide and for the purpose of preparation of COPD test. Methods The artificial antigens were synthesized by Sulfo-SMCC and KLH.The complete antigens were identified by ultraviolet spectrum and SDS-PAGE.Immunize Balb/c mice was used to prepare antibody. The antiserum activity was evaluated by indirect competitive ELISA.Results The artificial antigens were identified by ultraviolet spectrum and SDS-PAGE. The protein concentration was 1.181 mg/mL.The titer of antiserum was 1∶64 000,and IC50 was 13.7 ng/mL.The antiserum had no cross-reaction with nonsense peptide. Conclusion The artificial antigens were acquired successfully, which had good immunoge-nicity.The results have laid basis for COPD test.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyse the unqualified cause of unpaid blood donation blood test in Dianjiang County .Methods The screening results of ALT ,HBsAg ,HCV antibody ,HIV antibody ,TP antibody ,of blood donors ,and their personal information from 2008 to 2012 were collected .The statistics method was used to comparative analysis .Results Rate of unqualified of unpaid blood donation blood test was 4 .06% ;Rate of unqualified of ALT was 2 .37% ,anti-TP was 0 .85% ,HBsAg was 0 .77% ,anti-HCV was 0 .15% ,anti-HIV was 0 .07% .The rate of unqualified was higher among the blood donors ,young male person ,whose level of educa-tion was junior high school and below junior high school .Conclusion It should strength preliminary screening of blood donors and screening of high-risk donors .Collecting flood from low-risk and regular donors in case to improve the quality of blood donors and decrease the waste of blood .

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the changes of drug resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii in our hospital during 2010-2012 to provide reference for clinical rational drug use and the effective control of Acinetobacter baumannii infection .Methods The drug resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii clinically isolated from 2010 to 2012 and its infection situation were retrospectively performed the statistical analysis .Results The clinical isolation rate of Acinetobacter baumannii in our hospital was increased from 218 cases (12 .19% ) to 741 cases (18 .48% ) in 2012 .The resistance rates of 18 kinds of antibiotics were almost more than 70% ,and pan-drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii appeared in some clinical departments ,such as ICU and neurology .The selective pressure of antibiotic was one of the main motive causes of drug resistance change ,and age ,underlying diseases ,duration of hospitalization and invasive procedures were the high risk factors in patients infection .Conclusion Hospital should enhance a series of measures including reinforcing the disinfection of the medical environment ,medical equipments and medical staffs ,strengthening the monito-ring of hospital infection and using antibiotics rationally to reduce and control the prevalence of Acinetobacter baumannii .
